Rotarians...Who Are We?

The Rialto Rotary Club was chartered on March 18, 1948.  With over 70 years of continuous community and global service, the Club has contributed an average of $20,000 per year to local, national, and global projects.  Ongoing projects include the Global Eradication of Polio and safe drinking water projects through the Rotary Foundation; medical, orthopedic, dental, and optical to poor citizens of Mexico; and Rialto Unified School District Student Literacy, music education, speech competition, and scholarships/student leadership programs.

In addition, the Rialto Rotary Club has assisted the community with wheel chairs, thrift store for academically challenged and special needs students, Bike Patrol, students to Washington D.C., Child Assistance League, the City of Rialto Parks and Recreation Department sound system, children's Rowdy Room at the Rialto Library, and much more.  Funds are raised each year through different events, such as our Run Whatcha Brung car show and Fall Classic golf tournament.  For information and forms for these events, click the
Special Events tab.

Our members are local business men and women who enjoy each other's company as they work hard together to make a difference.  The Club meets each Tuesday at noon,  Rialto, where each week an interesting program/speaker is presented.  For a schedule of programs/speakers, click on the

People Of Action: Who We Are

Club: Rotary Club of Rialto

Location: Rialto, California

Project: Oduoro Village Maternity Ward Completion

Status: Ongoing

Our Community’s Challenge:

This Existing Health Center Services approximately 4,500 Area Villagers coming from miles away. There is a need for a Modern Maternity Ward. The primary goal is to upgrade the existing Maternity Ward.

How we took Action:

November 2018, Rialto Rotary started a Global Grant Project to raise the funds needed to modernize the Maternity Ward. We visited 20 clubs during the proceeding 10 months throughout Rotary District 5330. We were able to collect over $45,000.00 of DDF from 18 of these generous Rotary Clubs. With Matching Funds from our Rotary International Foundation our Grant will be over $90,000.00 to upgrade the Oduoro Village Maternity Ward.

What will be the Impact of this Project:

During the Rotary Year of 2019-2020 we will have the upgrades completed. The Primary Goal is to provide a safe and Modern Birthing Center for the area.

During the Rotary Year 2020-2021 we will be sending a 12 person Vocational Training Team to the Maternity Ward for a week long training of local Doctors & Nurses. The funds for the Vocational Training Team are a part of this Global Grant.

Sharing the Story:

Rialto Rotary and The Participating Clubs of District 5330 want to share this Project with our Local Communities,  We will be doing so through social media and the local printed news sources.

What can People Do to Help:

People interested in getting involved, wanting to making a difference can contact their local Rotary Club and become a member. Existing Rotary Members can support the Rotary Foundation. Without the help of the Rotary Foundation none of this would be possible.
